Hello QM Forum, I have been messing with the net function to send text between networked computers, is there a way maybe not even with qm but another way to send text between to different computers that are not linked? I would like to make a personal Instant messenger for my friends and I to use. I've been messing with a few things, but im not really sure which is the best to direction to move towards as I havent had very much sucess? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks you for the time!

You can use the net function you would have to allow it through your firewall and your router.
if using a router, use the external ip and port forwarding to direct it to the right computer.

Also, macro on each computer must know IP of other computers. If IPs are unknown, would need a server computer (connection manager), to which computers would connect and tell their IPs.
