Graphic signature insertion
#1
Hello all

first happy new year to all of you.

I'd like G. to show me how to extend the rtf snippet code (RTF saving and use).

I'd like to store a graphic signature (png format for transparency) file into the database or use directly the file signature png
to insert it via a macro or better a TS menu.

I think it should be easy, but the former code only works for bmp, and the original file must be png format,
and i don't know how to store it, copy it to clipboard, and store it in that format.

Is it possible?

Thanks

Rich text format supports embedded png images. Older rich text control versions don't support it. Supported in MS Word, and in WordPad on XP and 7.

Wonderful. Works like a charm.

Any chance to get the graphic pasted by TS menu action?

Call the function from TS menu.

text :RtfSnippets 1 ...

You're an example for all program conceptors and sellers.

Just to be sure, is there a place i could find all file types i can handle
using this function?

Text, kind of graphics etc etc. Because RTF
can't be used in all occasions...

This function supports only rich text format. It can be extended to support text, bitmap, HTML and some other known clipboard formats. Need several hours work for it, or maybe several days to make it really universal and useful.

Png is not one of common clipboard formats. When you copy a png image, usually it is converted to nontransparent bmp. Transparent png can be pasted together with RTF or HTML, but not all applications support these formats.
