What is recorded when you click several times, move mouse, press a key? Please post the macro.
What is your Quick Macros version?
Windows version? 64-bit?
Is Quick Macros running as Administrator, uiAccess or User? Look in Options -> General.
Is Chrome running as normal window or Windows 8 full-screen Metro?

Version 2.3.4.8
Linux Mint 15 Cinnamon (32-bit) running from Wine 1.5.31 - currently set to emulate Windows XP Home
I looked in the Options menu and could not find which mode it's running in..
Chrome is running as a normal window

When I run record I have the Keys/Mouse/Drag/Move/"text" boxes checked and I have it in "window" and "real", it still isn't recording thing so there's nothing to post.
