Temp unlock
#1
i can't seem to get this to work. i have a macro that i've set to unlock; wait one second; then bee. but it won't even send the keystrokes. it just gives me

"Warning: Clear_Outlook_Messages cannot run on non-interactive desktop."

it doesn't show that the CAX keystroke was even sent.

is anyone else getting this? ive tried to log it but i can't find where the log is going to look into it.

QM does not have 'temporary logon' feature. Only 'temporary unlock'.
#3

i changed it in the original post for searching purposes.

What OS?

If XP, is it welcome screen or dialog? If you need CAX, probably dialog.

Is 'Quick Macros' service running?

Can test on more than 1 computer?

BTW, CAX does not work in logon desktop. Check the checkbox. It works differently.
#5
it is xp pro.
the box that shows is that "the computer has been locked" then you hit C-A-D to get to the id/password dialog.

im not able to test on more than one comp with the pro 'non user-switch' environment.

What are all settings in 'temporarily unlock computer' dialog?

(can attach screenshot)

Does qmtul process start while computer is locked?

To log all started processes, create function:

Name: any
Trigger: $p 0x1 ""
Code:
Copy      Help
function event pid pidparent $name
;event: 1 started, 2 ended, 4 running
out name

----

Question # 2:

Is 'Quick Macros' service running?
#8
sorry, yes the QM service is started and on automatic.

here's the output for the function.
qmtul
mspaint
verclsid
AcroRd32Info
verclsid
qmcl
Warning: Clear_Outlook_Messages cannot run on non-interactive desktop.

one odd thing is that when i open up that settings dialog i notice that my password has only a "*" in the field.

What's in qmtul.log? It should be in qm folder.

-_----------------

How without the Ctrl Alt Delete dialog? To remove it, run secpol.msc and enable 'local policies -> security options -> interactive logon: do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL'.

no such file.

How without Ctrl Alt Delete dialog?

Are you sure that the list of started processes was generated while computer was unlocked? I see qmtul but it also runs when you click How in Properties...
