QM 2.1.5a-b
#1
I need to deactivate the toolbar that starts up with the editor but the method of getting into the init function has changed and I can't get into it to modify it. Can you help with this?

PS: could you move that toolbar line into the init2 function so it can be undone easily in the future?

Thanks.

Ok, next QM update (2.1.5.6) will allow this. You will find instructions in init.

for some reason i can't edit a macro name by double click anymore.
copy macro name would be a nice feature in the qm context menu.

how can i make a custom qm context menu with all my macros ?
i need that for scripting in powerpro, gui4cli and voiceflux.
maybe something like export all macros as shortcuts to a folder
could help, because then i could make a ppro or gui4cli menu.

Automatic editing of treeview item labels do not work on XP when the program uses the visual styles. I think it is WinXP bug. I did not find necessary to look for a workaround.

QM 2.1.5.6 will have function MenuFromQmFolder. Here is it is attached.

Attached Files
.qml   Menu from QM folder.qml (Size: 3.3 KB / Downloads: 898)

that looks promising.
so it would be possible to move macros from folder to folder ?

maybe a listview would good for managing macros.

because, sometimes i write a lot of function and macros,
for example:
today i made me a second T.S. menu,
the first is triggered by # and the second with ZIRKUMFLEX.
for managing two scripts two windows would be more helpful.
i could use external editors like scite, ultraedit or even dreamweaver.
but for none of them i have a qm syntax reference file.

sometimes it takes me a lot of time to finish a macro idea,
because qm is to flat.
for lot of my needs i have the main work done, but sometimes i forget
that a function for x already has been written by me.
so sometimes the only option is to search for a keyword.

Thank you, but I think most of these features would be useful maybe only for 1% of QM users.

i don't agree to 1%.
and i forgot to mention subfolders Confusedhock:
i think up to 40% have a quick learning curve.
everybody with more then 50 macros will benefit from
sorting and organizing.

or
what about qml import/export from/to directory ?
like:
export qml as text files with folder structure ?
its similar to the 'Favorites converter', firefox extension.
(convert bookmark.htm to IE favorite folder)

ey, and the textfield here in the forum has not enough width and height.
that would be a funny macro:
grab page when in qm forum post/edit mode, rewrite textfield size and
open in browser (firefox)

for import i have an idea ..

but explorer and most of the other programs i know on
xp (with manifest) work that way.

how do i disable xp styles for qm ?
you seem to have to compiled it into the exe ?

or:
give me a key F2 macro for renaming 8)

Easy treeview label editing works when Options -> General -> List: expand single folder is cleared. Or, use this macro: key A{fr}.

How many items you have in your main qm file, not including System? How many items you have in biggest folders?

How about organizing your functions into categories?

Why you need to import/export macros from/to a directory?

You wrote "...move macros from folder to folder". Do you mean programmatically? Why?

Do you think QM should have MDI interface (multiple documents in single window or multiple windows)?

for external editing.
for finding a macro when using a windows search engine.

you know, i use ppro, gui4cli, voiceflux and strokeit. i need a way to combine all those scripts in a general shell folder.

for commenting my functions and macros on my website.

MDI, but with the option to have tabs in a single window too.

Yeah, I've got a bunch as well. it starting to become a pain to move them around in the list.
