What is the purpose of right clicking the blue arrows to make them grey? What is this for and what does it do?

doing that shuts off all triggers. that way nothing will start up (unless it's a scheduled task...i think).

Yes, it is in QM 2.1.7 and older. In QM 2.1.8, right click opens menu, middle click disables/enables triggers.
